Homecoming

We took Ryan to Homecoming and he loved it! We didn't actually go in the stadium, but we did watch part of the game from the bridge. He loved ringing the victory bell, eating junk food, looking at the shiny football helmets, and especially watching all of the UGA busses and motorcycles. It was a great day!

Trick or Treat

Since Ryan wouldn't wear his original Halloween costume, Charlie decided he would wear it. Ryan was happy to share it and wear his Fireman back-up costume.
Ryan learned how to trick-or-treat pretty quickly. He watched what Henry did, and then it was smooth sailing.

Our neighbor (and friend Evan) hands over the goods. It was raining, and they were running so fast, Ryan fell on his face many times. They were having so much fun that he didn't even care!

All dressed up and ready to go!

Halloween

Ryan really loved Halloween this year. Just like last year, he trick-or-treated with his friends Cara and Henry. However, we couldn't find the camera, so I will have get those pictures from Michelle, who was much more reliable with her camera! We started Halloween on the 30th with the annual Parade of Costumes at school. Ryan's classmates are all so cute! This was also the first activity at school that we came to where Ryan was able to participate without clinging onto mommy and daddy. Yay Ryan!

Baltimore

These pictures pretty much sum up Ryan's visit to Baltimore. He ate good food, jumped on the trampoline, swam in the pool (jumped in like he's never jumped before), was loved on by his cousins, and overall had a great time! Ryan had so much fun, that for a few mornings, even a month later, Ryan has said "I don't want to go to school, I want to go to Baltimore!"

The girls loved all over "Baby Ryan"

Nothing wins Ryan over more than a cupcake!

Ryan loved his picnic dinner with the big kids!

Throwing Sand

We spent last weekend in Destin at the Beach. It was the longest drive Ryan had gone on, and he did great during the six hour drive. Probably the best part for Ryan was his newfound discovery of The Wiggles, whose DVD he watched over and over again in the car. He is now asking for them all the time.
Ryan loved the beach, and was better about this water than he is about the swimming pool water!

Mommy had to feed Prince Ryan his grapes because of the sand all over his hands.

Ryan loved going in the water with Daddy

It was a little windy the first evening!

Cook Out

We had a cookout and some of Ryan's friends got to come too! Ryan got to show off his new picnic table. It's nice that Ryan can talk now and really interact with other little kids. They run around and chase eachother, and aren't babies anymore.

Fire Truck

Auntie Laura and Uncle Brian sent a firetruck for Ryan's birthday. Ryan loves it because it makes lots of noise! I love it because it does not require batteries!

First Hair Cut

Ryan was a brave boy and got his first haircut. I had been cutting it myself for months.

He really was not happy about it, but he really does look better!

Pool Party!

Ryan's "Official" birthday party was a pool party. He had lots of fun with his friends!
This is Emma. Ryan really likes playing with her. More importantly, last night, Emma showed Ryan how to potty in the toilet instead of the little potty. Now I don't have to rinse out a little potty anymore! Thank you Emma!

Remember Darren? Darren and Ryan were born 2 days apart. The next day was Darren's birthday party. Ryan ate a lot of cake that weekend. Darren has a cool swimming shirt on!

All ready for cake!

Ryan';s Second Birthday!!!

Ryan and Henry eagerly await cake at the evening BBQ birthday celebration

Ms. Gray helps serve cake to Ryan's class...A.K.A. the "mini United Nations" This was actually Ryan's first celebration, but I can't figure out how to get pictures and posts in the order in which things happened, and you do want these pictures up at some point, don't you?

Ryan actually cried the first time we sang "Happy Birthday" to him. The second two parties were much better for him, with no crying!

Well, it's August...2 months past Ryan's second birthday, and I have been pretty bad about updating the blog. I will begin with Ryan's second birthday party. It was actually a three part birthday weekend extravaganza!

Visiting Thomas

Ryan and his friend Henry (and our families) went to visit Thomas the Train. We even got to go on a train ride and Henry and Ryan "fought" over the seat.
Ryan enjoyed the view

Finally Ryan and Henry learned to share the seat.

There were other things to do as well...Ryan jumped around, played putt-putt, saw a petting zoo, and listened to music. It was a great day!

Rain, Rain Go Away!

Even though it's been raining lately, it does not stop Ryan from doing his favorite thing...playing outside! As soon as we get home from school, the first thing he says is "Outside!" and we play until dinner.
Luckily, Cousin Ethan had an adorable rain coat to pass on that Ryan loves to wear!

Another favorite activity is Ryan's lawnmower. He could mow all day long. He also loves to walk around the neighborhood and look at other people as they mow their lawns. When we pull in the driveway, he points out "daddy's lawnmower."

Snow Day!

It was hard to get a picture of his face, but Ryan had a great time today in the Atlanta Snow! After a big birthday party, we came home in the snow and played with our neighbors! Ryan loves playing with the "big boys" and while he wasn't too interested in snow in Cleveland, he loved running after Ethan and Andrew today! They made a snowman, filled a dump truck with snow, and ran around with the dog. All this, and Ryan still didn't take a nap!!!

More Cleveland

Nana's friend has two horses, so we went to visit them. Ryan thought they were dogs at first, but then he understood and realized they were "horsies!"

Auntie Laura and Uncle Brian came to see Ryan. He had a great time with them, and now Ryan loves to point them out in every picture that he can find!
