Big Birthday Party (a bit early!)

We celebrated Ryan's birthday a little early so that all of his family could be there to celebrate! Ryan was so excited to have all of his grandparents together for the big day! He also had 18 of his closest friends, plus all of thier parents, some neighbors, and his family. We packed the house to celebrate with Ryan!
He started off eating his smash cake with only his left hand (a sign that he's a south paw like his mother?) But then, Ryan got more into it, and seemed to really enjoy the texture of the cake!

It should be said that what Ryan seemed to enjoy the most were his pre-birthday meal the night before at the Chinese restaurant, and his morning after breakfast in which he grabbed at my plate of hashbrowns and ate his heart out!
It was a great Memorial Day weekend!

Eleven Months

Ryan has become so active that we can't get him to pose for his monthly pictures like he used to! He doesn't seem to understand that we are trying to take a picture, but he also won't sit still, or stay away from his monthly signs! So this was the best we could do. At 11 months, Ryan loves cruising around on the furniture. He tries his best to stand on his own, and is very proud when he balances by himself! He loves pulling Charlie's tail and "petting" him, although we are trying to teach Ryan to be gentle. It's hard to believe Ryan is almost one!

Mothers Day Weekend

Eric made us a great Mothers Day dinner! But before Mothers Day dinner, we had a really busy weekend...Ryan went with Eric to his friend Maddie's 1st Birthday Party (while I worked Saturday Morning). Then, I took him swimming with Henry at Auntie Mich's pool...the water was cold, but Ryan was happy, so I was happy! Later that night, we joined the Solomon's for a picnic at the Dunwoody Nature Center. Ryan ate 2 corn muffins and some macaroni. He crawled around in the dirt all night and was as dirty as I have ever seen him! The last picture of him is not a great one, but I finally got one of Ryan standing on his own! He does this for about 5 seconds and then gets so excited that he falls over. It's fun to watch him get so excited about standing! Ryan wishes his Grandma and Nanna a happy mothers day!
