The Pumpkin Patch

Today was our second annual trip to the pumpkin patch. This time, Ryan walked a long way from the hayride to the pumpkins, so by the time we gt to the big pumpkins, he was too worn out for a good picture! But, we like our action shots (courtesy of Eric). Ryan liked the little pumpkins...he tried to eat them.

Since Ryan loves to lift large objects, he was thrilled to try to lift a pumpkin. It didn't work.
Ryan enjoyed pointing out the hayride..."Cah..." (Car)

Random Shots

Ryan and Henry enjoyed their time together at the "Kids Table" at Rosh Hashanah dinner.
After dinner, Henry showed Ryan his favorite Sesame Street video.
Eric practices what it would be like to have 2 kids with Darren and Ryan!
Ryan and Charlie have become good friends. Ryan likes to bring Charlie his bone to chew, or to feed him his snacks!

Nanna Comes!!!

Nanna missed Ryan so much that she came for a visit! It's been a couple of weeks since she came, but I have been so busy with my new job that it's been hard to catch up! We did a lot that weekend, but nothing compared to the purchase of Ryan's newest "Ballooooooon." Ryan also got a chance to meet Brutus the Buckeye during an Ohio State game...

Hurricane Ryan invades Chicago

We took a trip to Chicago to meet cousin Allison. Jen and Brian were brave to allow Ryan to stay at their nice condo! "Hurricane Ryan" gave them a taste of what is to come and showed Allison the ropes as far as how to tear apart a "just cleaned" home. Baby Allison is very cute, and Ryan showed that he knows what "baby" is because everytime we said "be sweet to the baby," Ryan would go and pat Allison on the arm.
Ryan now points to everything and makes a sound that sounds like "what's that" (although we really are not sure this is what he is saying, we just tell him what ever the item is that he is pointing to). He does this like 1,000 times a day!
At the park, there was a band playing for the kids. Ryan actually stood still to watch! This was a rare moment that we did not have to chase him around.
Another rare moment when Ryan was still was when there was a big display of blocks to play with. It was nice to sit and play for a while.
We were sad to say goodbye to Allison, Jen and Brian!

More Mountains

Ryan enjoyed browsing in the antique store in Brevard
Jody and Ethan having fun at the square dance in Brevard
Eric and David relaxing before dinner
Ethan and Jody
Ryan obviously had no problem with his sleeping arrangements!

The Mountains

Grandma and Grandma took the family on a vacation to the mountains in South Carolina! (yep, there are mountains in South Carolina!) We also spent time in Brevard and Asheville, NC. Ryan had a great time with his cousins Ethan and Noa.
After a day of hiking and shopping with the mothers, Ryan and Noa were exhausted!
We got to see lots of beautiful waterfalls! Ryan enjoyed an hour and a half nap in his stroller by the waterfalls as we pushed him up the mountain!
Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed having all of their grandchildren together under one roof!
Ryan learned the joys of being swung by mommy and daddy.

Centennial Park

In honor of the upcoming Olympics, we spent the morning at Centennial Olympic park! I played in the fountain with Ryan...he cautiously enjoyed it.

We went over to the grassy area and Ryan played with his favorite toy...his ball! Ryan loves to chase his ball around outside or in his playroom, and say "baaalll, baaalll"
It was an exhausting day...
