Sydney is 2 Months Old!

At two months, Sydney has accomplished a lot! She sleeps 11 hours a night, which makes mommy very happy! She is beginning to smile, especially when we smile at her. She can hold her head up pretty well, and she seems to be trying to find her thumb! We also FINALLY got Sydney to take a bottle...so...this means Mommy and Daddy can go out!

Sydney is One Month Old!

Sydney is one month old! Not much to report at one month, except that she is a very "easy" baby. She rarely cries, which is really nice! Last night, Sydney slept in her crib for the first time. She did pretty well, and Ryan liked helping me put her to bed.

First days at home

Auntie Micki and Uncle Ed came to meet baby Sydney on their way from Baltimore to Florida. They came way out of their way to see us! We had a great visit!

Between all the chaos, we still had Chanukah to remember, and Ryan wouldn't let us forget it!!!

Sydney Harper is here!

It's a girl! Sydney Harper was born on December 4, 2010. She weighed 8lbs 1 oz, and was 20 inches long.
Ryan was more interested in the I.V. drip than his new little sister! He came and brought her a pink teddy bear. Sydney bought him an airport play set. Sydney was born on the 4th day of Chanukah!

Once again, Poppo and Nana made the drive from Cleveland, and Sydney took her sweet time to appear. Nana and Poppo made it 3 hours before Sydney arrived! (after a 11 hour drive!)

BFF Picking Apples

Ryan and Henry were so excited to go to North Georgia for apple picking.

Ryan loved picking apples, and was even more excited to eat all the apples. I think he ate about 5 of them! His favorite part was the hayride.

Hilton Head!

It's been a long time since we last posted...so we'll just pick up here rather than update you on the last several months...

We spent the last week in Hilton Head, SC and we had a great time! Ryan loved the beach, the dolphin boat cruise, and everything else that we did!
I am not sure what happened here, and I have no computer skill...so this is a sideways shot of Ryan sleeping in his stroller. He refuses to admit he needs a nap but he sometimes falls alseep during the day.

Ryan was not happy with the hole he dug himself, so he found someone else's play area and took over. His obsession this summer is life guards, diving boards and swimming pools. Ryan jumps off anything he can find and calls it a diving board. Then he blows a pretend whistle and yells "adult swim." The holes he dug in the sand were "swimming pools."

Many times when we are with Henry, we don't have a camera. This is a bit out of order because it is stolen from Henry's blog. According to Ryan, Henry is his "best bud." He also told me that Mindy is his "best friend." Henry is 6 months older. and is a great person for Ryan to look up to. Ryan is now in his big boy bed "just like Henry and Caillou." They are very crazy and fun together.
