Grandma and P-Paw

Just some pictures from a visit from Grandma and P-Paw. Ryan still refuses to pose for a picture, but Sydney was happy to mug for the camera. Grandma kept Ryan occupied with the football.

3 Months! (and one day...)

It's hard to believe Sydney is 3 months old! A lot has happened for her this month. Last week, Sydney started school. She is doing great there, and they really love her! Daddy did great when I had to go out of town for 3 days...Sydney is still our champion sleeper. She sleeps for about 12 hours, which is great! She is full of smiles, and she has the cutest bald spot on the back of her head. Ryan is a great big brother, and he loves to hug her, pick her up (oy) and put his chin on her head. (gently)

What have we been up to???

Ryan just loves Sydney. The first thing he does when he comes home is look for Mommy and Sydney. He hugs her, tries to help her if she is crying, and sits with Mommy when she is feeding, changing a diaper, or bathing her.
Thank youn to Alexis for your great nursery design! We love Sydney's room, and without Alexis, it would still be gray and plain!

The biggest thing that happened is that we can finally get rid of Ryan's Diaper Genie. Ryan is so proud of himself, and we are so proud of him!

Sydney is 2 Months Old!

At two months, Sydney has accomplished a lot! She sleeps 11 hours a night, which makes mommy very happy! She is beginning to smile, especially when we smile at her. She can hold her head up pretty well, and she seems to be trying to find her thumb! We also FINALLY got Sydney to take a bottle...so...this means Mommy and Daddy can go out!

Sydney is One Month Old!

Sydney is one month old! Not much to report at one month, except that she is a very "easy" baby. She rarely cries, which is really nice! Last night, Sydney slept in her crib for the first time. She did pretty well, and Ryan liked helping me put her to bed.

First days at home

Auntie Micki and Uncle Ed came to meet baby Sydney on their way from Baltimore to Florida. They came way out of their way to see us! We had a great visit!

I was a little rough looking (a lot rough looking!) but we had to capture the first bath on camera!

Between all the chaos, we still had Chanukah to remember, and Ryan wouldn't let us forget it!!!

Sydney Harper is here!

It's a girl! Sydney Harper was born on December 4, 2010. She weighed 8lbs 1 oz, and was 20 inches long.
Ryan was more interested in the I.V. drip than his new little sister! He came and brought her a pink teddy bear. Sydney bought him an airport play set. Sydney was born on the 4th day of Chanukah!

Once again, Poppo and Nana made the drive from Cleveland, and Sydney took her sweet time to appear. Nana and Poppo made it 3 hours before Sydney arrived! (after a 11 hour drive!)
